Blue Prince Secret Garden: get the key and turn the wind vane

Quick answer

Find the Secret Garden Key, draft toward an extreme west or east side until the locked Garden door appears, choose the Special Key interaction, and use the Garden Key. In the Garden, turn the two movable valves until arrows two and three point the same way as the reference arrow (the standard view points west toward the rear statue), then pull the revealed Antechamber lever.

Get the Secret Garden Key

The key is a random reward, not a guaranteed early-room item. It can appear from the Billiards/Darts puzzle, the Music Room, or the Locksmith’s Special Key option; trunks, chests, and dirt piles are possible but less reliable. Keep drafting and do not treat an empty early run as proof that the Garden is unavailable.

Reach the locked Garden door

  1. Build toward the far west or far east column. If you are in the middle, commit to one side and keep drafting north-facing rooms.
  2. When the locked Garden door appears, choose the Special Key option and spend the Secret Garden Key.
  3. Enter the Garden and use the wind-vane puzzle at the back. The side can mirror between layouts, so use the reference arrow as the direction check.

Turn the wind vane

Use the two valves to align the second and third arrows with the reference direction. On the standard layout that means pointing both toward the west, the statue/back-wall side. When the alignment is right, the statuette moves and exposes a lever. Pull it to open the western Antechamber door.

The solved state persists across runs, but the Antechamber lever still needs to be pulled each time you want that door open.

Sources and scope

The key routes and wind-vane interaction are cross-checked against Destructoid’s Secret Garden guide and TrueTrophies’ Blue Prince walkthrough. Their exact wording differs on whether the room is mirrored east/west, but both describe the random key, the two-valve alignment, and the revealed Antechamber lever. This page states the invariant alignment check and marks the standard west-facing view.
