Place the pieces on today’s board

The board mirrors the estate: five columns, nine rows, with the Entrance at the bottom for orientation. The drawing shows one coordinate example only. Copy the room coordinate from today’s draft, then place the corresponding piece there.

  1. Record the exact room and its column/row position in the estate.
  2. Use the lookup to identify King, Queen, Bishop, Rook, Knight, or Pawn.
  3. Place that piece at the same board coordinate. Repeat until six cells light.

If a tile stays dark, check the room name, the column and row, and that the room came from this day’s draft. When all six are lit, the statues open. If you change the reward later, solve the board again using the rooms drafted that day; do not use an old day’s layout.

After six cells light

Six reward statues open. Choose one permanent effect; there is no universal best pick, and the other five are not added to the run.

  • Ambition of the Pawn — at Rank 8 each day, choose Knight, Bishop, Rook, or Queen for the rest of the day.
  • Mantle of the Knight — add Armory to the draft pool.
  • Gambit of the Queen — Each time you draft a room in the West Wing, lose 5 steps and gain 2 keys (Patch 1.7+). Before Patch 1.7, this reward granted 1 key per trigger.
  • Banner of the King — choose a color each day; rooms of that color are more likely while drafting.
  • Piety of the Bishop — skip tithes and gain 30 coins on the first Chapel entry each day.
  • Resilience of the Rook — draw floorplans up to four times when drafting the four corner rooms.
